Cosplay.com, in conjunction with Cosmode and Broccoli, are holding a costume contest at Anime Expo.  The first place winner will receive a spread in Cosmode USA, and a $250 gift certificate to Cosworx.  2nd and 3rd place will also receive gift certificates from Cosworx, and there will be a “Best Wig” and “Best Prop” category. 

The contest will be “hall cosplay”/”craftsmanship”-style, and no performances will be allowed.  Contestants are required to register with Cosworx before 11am on Saturday.  Judging will promptly begin at 11:30am, and the amount of contestants is capped at 50.   Photographers are allowed to attend until the event reaches it’s space constraints. 

 I advise any cosplayers that are interested in attending, fill out your form ASAP, and then arrive no later than 10am on Saturday at the booth.  Cosmode is going to be taking pictures of contestants on stage as well, so if you’re really interested in getting in the mag, it’s possible that you might be able to make in during the “walk-on”.  I wish all the future contestants good luck in this contest as it’s such a great opportunity!
